This week White Wolf put out a brand update where they announced Dave Achilli was transitioning to a contract position and moving back to the States and that he’ll be contributing to video game developer Red Storm Entertainment. The later first debuted in 1991 as a tabletop role-playing game. World of Darkness is home to several related franchises, including Werewolf: The Apocalypse and Vampire: The Masquerade. Little is known about the nature of the game, but players are promised the ability to become a werewolf that is “opposed to urban civilization and supernatural corruption, and heading towards inevitable apocalypse.” In the shadows of our declining societies, humans fall victim to supernatural horrors, all struggling for control.” The divide between the rich and the poor is huge and corruption is rife. “The world’s most devious conspiracies are true. “The World of Darkness is a gritty vision of our own time,” said Focus Home Interactive in a press release issued today. Werewolf will be a joint effort by Focus Home Interactive Partners and White Wolf Publishing. Werewolf: The Apocalypse will take place within the World of Darkness universe, a setting best known among fans of video games for the cult classic Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines. White Wolf Publishing, which in October was purchased by Paradox Interactive from CCP Games, has announced its next game project.
